Privacy Policy

Visit counts. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn’t follow you to other sites. It records the page you viewed, the site that linked you here, your browser and device type, and your country. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Fonts. The site’s fonts load from this site itself, not from an outside font service.

Server logs. Our web host, DreamHost, keeps standard server logs: your IP address, your browser, the pages you asked for and when. They’re used to run and protect the site. See DreamHost’s privacy policy.

Cookies. None for visitors. WordPress, the software that runs the site, sets login cookies for site administrators only.

The feedback form asks for your name, your email address and which describes you best (a teacher, a parent and so on). You can add your school or organization and which programs interest you. Then comes your message.

When you press Send, the form emails all of that to info@getupandmove.info. The website doesn’t store it. We use it only to reply to you and to learn what schools and programs need. The same goes for email you send us directly.

Online gifts are made on Zeffy’s site, not on this one. Zeffy collects your payment and contact details under its own policies and shares the details of your gift with us, including your name and email address, so we can thank you and keep our records. We never see your card number. See Zeffy’s privacy and security information.

Like every private foundation, we list donors who give $5,000 or more in a year on our annual IRS return (Form 990-PF, Schedule B). For private foundations, those names and addresses are part of the public return.

The StepUp demo uses invented students. Anything you add or change there is saved only in your own browser, in its local storage, and is never sent to us. It sets no cookies and uses no outside services. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes it. StepUp isn’t used with real students yet; this section covers the demo only.

The Whole Class Mode animation on this site runs entirely in your browser. So does the Whole Class Mode prototype at prototype.getupandmove.info: it keeps its settings, such as room sync, in your browser’s local storage and sends nothing to us. Its fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details (see Google’s privacy policy).

This site is written for teachers, program leaders, parents and supporters, and the feedback form is meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we’ll delete it.

If this policy changes, we’ll post the new version here and change the date at the top.
